num-utils software package provides programs for dealing with numbers from the command line, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install num-utils
num-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the num-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep num-utils *
You will get with num-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
